The hike begins in the pedestrian zone (Rathausstraße). First, head towards the Stave Church. Before the large parking lot at the Stave Church, past the holiday home Parkresidenz at the Stave Church, turn left on the sidewalk onto the hiking trail "2G blue dot." You cross the ski slope and walk along Hahnenkleer Weg or the "Bird Nature Trail" to the first junction. At the junction, take the slightly downhill forest road Wilddiebsweg and follow it, always keeping right, past the drag lift until you meet the "Bird Nature Trail" again. Once you reach the Windsattel, you hike around the Töberschekopf, which after several hairpin bends leads you to the Graneblockhaus (stamp station 111) and the Upper Cliff Trail (2F red dot). You follow this trail past the Magaretenklippen to the parking lot Unter den Linden, where you meet the main trail again over the Taubenstieg. The great views of the Granestausee shorten the hiking time to the popular parking lot Unter den Linden. After crossing the parking lot, the paved road leads you up past the old Königsberg forestry house. Shortly after, you turn right onto the hiking trail "2G blue dot." With a very beautiful view over the Goslar mountain meadows, you reach the Frankenberger Teich and get to the center of Goslar via Claustor and Vititorwall.
