The starting point is the Stave Church in Hahnenklee. From the Stave Church, you reach the Märchenweg via Prof.-Mohrmann-Weg (2E red dot), which takes you to Bockswiese. Passing the water treading pool, you walk over the dam of the Lower Flößteich and turn right into Grabenweg. After 300 meters, climb the stairs of the Wäschenbrinks to the left. Now follow the signs "2D red dot" all the time, cross the L 561 road and stay on the path, which crosses the Rückenweg and goes straight on to the Spiegeltal. Here it goes steeply downhill over a rocky hiking path until you pass the Upper Spiegeltaler Pond. Passing the pond on the left, you walk uphill over the Bockswiese Heights. At an altitude of 610 m above sea level, you have, in good weather, a breathtaking view of the Brocken and the Bocksberg. After a short time, you reach the district of Zellerfeld.
The return route starts at the town exit on the B 241 towards Goslar. At the gas station, turn left into Goslarsche Straße. After about 20 meters, stroll down an avenue on the right "8C blue triangle." Circling the Stadtweger Pond on the right, you reach the Wegesmühle along Goslarsche Straße after a few meters, passing the Erbprinzentanne bus stop. You now reach the Alte Harzstraße. This bumpy hiking trail climbs slightly until after a few minutes you meet the B 241 again. Parallel to Alte Harzstraße run several ditches of the ditch system of the Upper Harz water management, which lead to the Upper and Lower Kellerhalsteich. At the parking lot on the B 241, the hiking path runs a few meters behind the guardrail. On the path "5G blue cross" you now reach the spruce forest and via L516 the Middle Grumbacher Pond near Bockswiese. Across the dam, the Schalker Grabenweg leads you directly to the Stave Church in Hahnenklee, the starting point of the hike.
