Your cycling route, approximately 31 km long in total, starts in the old town of Duderstadt, directly in front of the historic town hall. You ride down Marktstraße, turn right at the Unterkirche into Spiegelbrücke, and pass through the historic Westertor. At the end of Westertorstraße, you cross an intersection. On the other side, the bike path begins, along which you can ride to Westerode. In front of the Westerode church, turn right (In der Bülte). You cycle on a farm path through the meadows and fields of the Hahlen lowland, past Mingerode and Obernfeld, until you reach Germershausen. You pass through the village and arrive at Bernshausen on Lake Seeburg. From there, you can optionally cycle along the northern or southern shore of the lake to Seeburg. For a detour to Ebergötzen, you cycle through Seeburg and along Gänseborn Street on bike path no. 33 there and back. The return route from Seeburg leads you again along bike path no. 54 through Seulingen, Desingerode, Werxhausen (Teichstraße and Im Struttal), Nesselröden (Am Grabentor and Nathestraße), and Westerode (Rispenweg, Christus-König-Weg, Im Puttfeld) to Duderstadt. At the roundabout, take the third exit and continue straight on the bike path along Westeröder Straße and Göttinger Straße to the Westertorstraße intersection. The bike path ends there. Cross the intersection and continue on Westertorstraße, through Westerturm, Spiegelbrücke, and up Marktstraße to the town hall.

In addition to an outdoor pool, mini-golf course, adventure playground, boat rental, tennis courts, and fitness trail, the area around Lake Seeburg also offers informative display boards about aquatic vegetation, wildlife, renaturation, and more. Tip for resting: The traditional restaurant Graf Isang has been radiant in its new splendor since its reconstruction in 2004 and impresses with its cozy and beautiful atmosphere. Opening hours 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m. (from January to March: Monday closed, Tuesday – Thursday 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Friday – Sunday 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.)
