The route leads on beautiful paths directly to Lake Seeburg. On the way back, a detour to the Bread Museum in Ebergötzen and the Wilhelm Busch Mill should definitely be planned.
You cycle through the meadows and fields of the Hahlen lowland to Germershausen, the pilgrimage site “Maria in der Wiese”. Worth seeing is the church built in the Romanesque style. From Bernshausen, you cycle along Lake Seeburg to Seeburg. Lake Seeburg, “The Eye of Eichsfeld,” is the largest natural lake in southern Lower Saxony and offers a wide range of recreational activities including an outdoor pool, mini-golf course, adventure playground, boat rental, and more. The area around the lake is a refuge for animal and plant life. In Ebergötzen, the European Bread Museum with a cozy café and the Wilhelm Busch Mill, the original setting of the pranks of Max and Moritz, are recommended for a visit.
