The Three Valleys Route leads through the Harz National Park. The starting point of the approximately 16.9 km long circular hiking trail is at the HarzWaldHaus in the Kurpark. The pure hiking time of the moderate route is about five hours. The recommended walking direction after reaching the Philosophenbach is to the left, clockwise, first towards Molkenhaus.

From the hiking meeting point at the Haus der Natur, cross the B4 bridge into the Kalte Tal with fairy tale forest and high ropes course. At the high ropes course, a short climb leads to the Hermann-Löns bench at Philosophenbach. Follow the stream to the left. The symbol of the Three Valleys Route guides you past the Sennhütte over the old toboggan run up to Molkenhaus. Be sure to try out the forest swing at Hasselbach!

Descend via the Molkenhaus meadow on the Braunschweiger Weg to the Ecker. Once there, the path leads right towards the Ecker reservoir. On the western side, walk along the reservoir until the inflow is reached. In the romantically wild Eckertal, the narrow path continues towards the Ecker crossing. About 500 m before it, the Three Valleys Route turns right. A truly stony path ascends to the ski memorial.

Following the symbol, enter the Radau valley. First on a forest road, then on a narrower path with a reclining bench and then directly along the river, descend to the Taternbruch. The next destination is the Radau waterfall with the forest inn. Over the stairs at the waterfall, the path leads towards Bad Harzburg. It runs parallel to the B4. After the bridge to the large parking lot, the Philosophenbach soon comes into view. Follow it back to the Hermann-Löns bench. After descending at the high ropes course, pass the fairy tale forest and cross the B4 bridge back into the Kurpark.

Note: The Three Valleys Route is not a designated winter hiking trail!
