Klosterimkerei im Bildungshaus Zeppelin & Steinberg

Short facts

  • Goslar

The honey from Klosterimkerei Grauhof is a regional product from the North Harz region.

The bees of Goslar hobby beekeeper Hartmuth Herweg fly around the fishing ponds in Vienenburg, the Steinberg in Goslar and the Grauhof monastery. The nectar is collected within a flight radius of approx. 2.5 to 3 km. During their flights, the bees pollinate flowers, shrubs and trees, thus making a valuable ecological contribution.

The honey from the monastery apiary is not filtered but only sieved so that all the valuable substances in the honey are retained. However, the focus is not on the production of honey, but rather on providing information about the "wonderful world of our bees"!

The following product has been awarded the "Typisch Harz" regional brand:

  • Honey
