The bee man from Wieda sees himself as an ambassador for the little - so industrious - insects.
With a great deal of idealism, beekeeper Henning Illers and his wife have set up their small store under the motto "If the bee dies, the man dies". They offer various types of honey from Wieda and the surrounding villages as well as beeswax candles made from their own beeswax. They also sell excellent grape juice and St. John's jam, the fruits of which are harvested in their own garden. For further illustration, an educational bee trail has been set up in cooperation with the Harzklub. This can be explored individually or as part of a guided tour with the beekeeper.
