The Unicorn Cave is the largest accessible cave in the western Harz Mountains with a managed hiking lodge and UNESCO Geopark information center "Haus Einhorn".
The lodge has a forest restaurant (with snack bar and kiosk) as well as a small cave museum. It also functions as a geopark information center. In culinary terms, the Baude focuses on quality and creativity. It serves delicacies such as homemade baked goods, meat and sausage products from local production and herbs from its own garden. Many drinks come from regional production (e.g. Harzer Hüttenbier, Harzer Urstoff). The wonderfully refreshing drinking water is obtained from the hotel's own karst spring below the cave.
Be sure to try the house specialties: wild herb potato soup, wild garlic meatballs and the "unicorn bone milk", a delicious herbal liqueur made according to the hotel's own recipe.
