Follow the signs ► white sign with a cow's head in a red circle
► along the Lindenwarte in the direction of the hotels Tannenpark and waldhotel AUSZEIT
► past the natural log houses and the tennis court
► after approx. 450 m turn right
► After another 400 m you will reach a forest edge (Brockenblick), here you keep to the right
► Continue hiking along the mountain meadows (partly on beautiful beaten paths) straight down into the valley of the river Warme Bode.
► Enchanting (far) views over mountain meadows and the Harzer Rote Höhenvieh accompany the hiker
► Turn right at the forest car park (L98) and after approx. 1 km you will reach the village of Tanne
► Cross the L 98 (Tanne-Königshütte) at the cabinetmaker's shop and turn left
► A few meters along the road, you will reach the green steel bridge (Hermann von Frankenberg Bridge) - cross this......
NOTICE:
At this point you reach the path separation, the detour to the Kapitelsberg mountain (see route description 2* below)
... you decide on the Harzer-Höhenvieh-Path?
Then it continues as follows:
► After crossing the bridge, bear sharply to the right and follow the signs to the Harzer-Höhenvieh-Path.
► The path now runs on the southern side of the valley to the B242 (car park on Waldstraße).
► Numerous vantage points with a view over and to the Harz town of Tanne invite you to linger.
► When you get to the B242, cross the street and follow the path (Ziegenberg and Jägerborn).
► You reach the village of Tanne - there you walk past the Jägernborn spring and the oldest house in Tanne.
► When you get to Jägerbornstraße, turn left and follow the street to the Bode bridge.
► After you have crossed the river Warme Bode again, continue walking to the main road, cross it and turn left into the "Zinne".
► Via a beaten path, directly across a wonderful mountain meadow, it goes past the Hotel waldhotel AUSZEIT to the starting point "Wandertreff".
*Route 2 – detour to Kapitelsberg (HWN 44)
► The ascent to the Kapitelsberg mountain with its 510 meters in altitude is worth it (there and back approx. 2 km):
► A fascinating view of Tanne and the Brocken massif awaits you
► after you have crossed the green steel bridge (Hermann von Frankenberg Bridge), follow the signs to "Kapitelsberg" on the left
► the ascent is through the forest and is a bit steep
► Once at the top after about 1 km, the hiker is rewarded with a fantastic view
► DON'T FORGET: Bring your hiking pass!
► back to the valley or back to the Harzer-Höhenvieh-Path follow the signs "Tanne"
► again at the green steel bridge - see the usual signs with the cow in the red circle and follow them straight ahead (do not cross the bridge again)
