Insight into around 400 million years of Earth's geological history on a 4.5-kilometer-long hiking route around Michaelstein Abbey.

Geological exposures and explanatory display boards provide insight into 400 million years of Earth's history as well as the former mining activities in the region. The terrain along this route is very varied. Wildly rugged stream courses, some of which look like small gorges, alternate with romantic pond landscapes and idyllic forest paths. In spring, you will be accompanied by the scent of fresh wild garlic through the Teufelsbach Valley. Many hikers here collect the healthy herbs. Hike through geological history and return refreshed to Blankenburg (Harz).
