Stadtmuseum Bad Gandersheim

Short facts

  • Bad Gandersheim

The city museum offers an overview of the life and work of the people and the development of the city.

The "Heimatmuseum" has existed since 1926, with exhibits from various private collections containing a wide range of historical documents and objects relating to the town's history. On the occasion of the 1100th anniversary of the founding of the Gandersheim Abbey, the exhibits were given a permanent location under the roof of the Renaissance town hall, Markt 10.

The museum presents the history of the town. The extensive collections of film and photographic equipment and military exhibits from the 19th and 20th centuries are considered an insider tip.

Admission is free.
