The Rodelhaus Braunlage is ideal for a little break with lots of enjoyment.
Since 2013, the Slow Food philosophy has been followed here. This promotes environmentally friendly agriculture and fishing, species-appropriate livestock farming, traditional food craftsmanship and aims to preserve the diversity of regional flavors.
This is reflected in the Rodelhaus menu. The beef from Harz Red Mountain cattle comes from the typical Harz producer Brockenbauer Uwe Thielecke from Tanne, the beer specialty "Harzer Dunkel" from the Altenau brewery, which has also been awarded the regional brand, and the curry for the currywurst from the Altenau herb park. Together with beekeeper Enrico Kretschmar - his honeys also bear the Typisch Harz seal - Mrs. Bothe produces her own honey - right on her doorstep in the forest on the Wurmberg.
For visitors who want to find out more, take a look at the "Genussmacher" guide from Rodelhaus Braunlage. It provides information about the origin and suppliers of the food. The Rodelhaus Braunlage can be reached after a half-hour ascent towards the middle station of the Wurmberg cable car or you can take the opportunity to take a ride on one of the gondolas.
The following product has been awarded the "Typisch Harz" regional brand:
