Nordhausen Town Park

Short facts

  • Nordhausen

The Stadtpark has been located on the Nordhäuser Parkallee since 1880.

It is the perfect route for runners. Trees and bushes, circular paths and ponds, as well as fountains also invite you to take a stroll and relax. The Damm zur Zorge is an avenue of chestnut trees. In the middle of the 1990s, an ecological area treatment was introduced, and it has been possible to observe many different animal species since then. Stone walls and piles of deadwood provide habitats for lizards, newts, toads and many other small creatures. An interesting population of fish has developed in two ponds. Yet another pond beckons you to take a gondola ride. Various animal enclosures, a petting zoo, the duck pond and the well-kept hiking trails attract many visitors. A large adventure playground is especially appealing to younger guests. This is where they can play, run around and climb.
