Tilmann Dreysse relies on plant diversity in his fields.
Flowering plants - for seed and green fodder for regional horse owners - and soft fruit are grown on around 22 hectares. Tilmann and Ralph's declared aim is biodiversity on German fields. The effect of this way of working is directly noticeable in their fields. That's where the action is... With the wild insects come the birds and with the reduced intensity come the hares, pheasants and deer. As part of an EU program, native wildflowers are also sown, some of them well-known, such as the poppy or the cornflower, others forgotten, such as the agrimony, dyer's chamomile, bedstraw, St. John's wort...
They have created their own brand for their most important product. The Harzer Honig brand stands for regionally produced honey from the Harz mountains. Harzer Honig is our vision of a nationally known and valued brand for honey from Harz beekeepers who treat their bees, wild insects and the environment responsibly.
