Hotel Harzer Hof

Short facts

  • Herzberg OT Scharzfeld

Eating meat with a clear conscience: Harzer Rotes Höhenvieh at home and new: vegan dishes with the green mountain lentil.

The Harzer Hof Scharzfeld restaurant is known for its regional cuisine, including stews from Harzer Roter Höhenvieh cattle. During the corona lockdown, the family that runs the restaurant turned this skill into a specialty to take home: Harzer Höhenvieh in a jar. Open the jar, heat briefly and goulash, roulade and the like are ready.

The traditional preparation and the meat of the old breed of cattle make the dishes a special treat. The local beef is now shipped all over Germany. For those who prefer to avoid meat, there are also vegan dishes from the Green Mountain Lentil.

The beef and the Harz Mountain Lentil are sourced from farmers in the surrounding area (<20km radius).

Order via online shop or directly on site at the Harzer Hof.
