The Duderstadt Museum of Local History focuses on a children's activity program and special exhibitions..

In the baroque half-timbered house, a former boys' school, folkloristic exhibits from the Eichsfeld region are the focus of the collection, which extends over three floors. As a special feature of the "Archaeology" section, the uncovered section of the medieval town wall can be viewed through a walk-on glass panel.
"Quality from the Eichsfeld. Craft and Economy" shows products such as cigars from Duderstadt or fine ice cream gloves or a hand loom. In a small writing workshop, visitors can try out pens, slates and other writing tools.
