The botanical garden on the forest-free hilltop of the Brocken has existed since 1890 and today houses around 1,500 plant species from all the high mountains of the world. It protects and preserves endangered and very rare plants and at the same time shows its guests from all over the world what grows and blooms at the very top.
Visitors can explore the Brocken Garden with the Brocken gardener twice a day from mid-May to mid-October, Monday to Friday. At weekends and on public holidays, please note that this is only possible together with a guided tour by a ranger on the Brocken circular hiking trail.
