The route starts in the center of Hahnenklee. From the Kurhaus, it goes through Rathausstraße (attention: ascent) towards the stave church. At the end of Rathausstraße, keep left and reach the large parking lot. Once again, keep left and get onto the Schalker Grabenweg (marking: 5G, blue cross), which leads you to the Upper Grumbach Pond. The path offers beautiful views over the Middle and Upper Grumbach Pond. A stop is possible, for example, at Café Egerland. From here, you have a wonderful view over the pond. You can linger here and for example pedal boat or swim. For the return trip, you will be strengthened and well rested. Take the same route back to return to the starting point in Hahnenklee. From Egerland, the route goes a short steep uphill section.
