Sledding is fun; the only nuisance is the walk uphill after the fast descent.
In Torfhaus, sledders have it easier because a special attraction is the "Brockenblick" sled lift with floodlight system. This means sledders no longer have to walk uphill with their sleds, as the practical sled lift takes care of that. Thanks to the floodlight system, sledding fun is now extended into the evening, provided there's enough snow and suitable weather conditions. Please observe the prior announcements!
The sled lift is located directly next to the large parking lot on Federal Highway 4 beside the National Park Visitor Center. A wide slope invites sledding here.
On the tow saddles, there are sleds on which sledders are transported uphill while pulling their own sled behind them. Simply practical! At the exit point, you then get off the lift sled, which is automatically pulled up by the lift and thus ready for the next ride. The sledding fun for young and old now begins with the 300 m long descent.
Sleds can also be rented at the sled lift ticket office (valley station). Prior reservation is not required except for groups.
