Naturresort & Spa Schindelbruch
Visitors both big and small are invited to get to know the area around the Auerberg volcano more closely. Constant companions are Josephine Auerberg and Konrad Kauz, who also guide us at the entrance of the educational trail as large wooden figures. Together, we learn from a total of 24 information boards about the animals and plants living in the beech forest, hunting, the tasks of the forester, or read earth stories. It covers mineral resources that miners have extracted here over centuries or climate change. In the end, the realization is that nature itself is the greatest treasure that must be protected and preserved. To get active yourself and clear your mind, thirteen sports stations and five experience points are also offered: How heavy is wood? It gets tricky with the animal tracks memory game or at the turning cube with the tree silhouettes.
Below the Josephskreuz, at the parking lot near the L 236, the nature discovery trail begins. The circular path leads to the Schindelbruch nature resort and from there, via the Street of Songs, finally back to the starting point.
Across the L 236.
