Love bench path

Starting from the large parking lot at the stave church (Tor der Liebe), after a few meters you will cross the former bobsleigh and luge track and the "Familienabfahrt" ski slope. The hiking trail runs parallel to the summit with a comfortable incline up the Bocksberg. Take advantage of the lovingly designed benches and places to stop for a picnic and enjoy the view of Hahnenklee again and again on the ascent to the Bocksberg. Below the summit, you will reach the Liebesbank hut and the access road to the Bocksberg summit. The trail continues past the Auerhahn and the ponds of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Upper Harz Water Management, where you will reach another refreshment stop at the Upper Grumbach Pond, Café Egerland. The 7-kilometre circular trail takes you back to your starting point, the large parking lot at the stave church.

During your hike, it is also worth making a detour to the "ErlebnisBocksBerg". You can reach it by turning right after the Liebesbank hut. The asphalted Bocksbergstraße leads you directly to the 726 m high local mountain. Once on the Bocksberg, the 1,250 m "BocksBergBob" summer toboggan run and the Bocksberghütte, which invites you to stop off and linger, await you.
