From the parking lot, we turn into the avenue to the Aviator Memorial. It is dedicated to the six occupants of a giant aircraft who crashed near Halberstadt in 1917.
Then we continue straight ahead, following the signs to the Five Fingers Rock. At the fork, we take the right path to reach the Five Fingers Rock. Afterwards, we continue straight ahead and take either the upper or lower path to reach the Klusfelsen. Behind the Klusfelsen, we take the first path branching off to the right. At the next fork, we go right uphill and stay on the main path to reach the Schön Sicht viewpoint. After the viewpoint, we turn left onto the north slope path to reach the Devil's Pulpit, also called the Devil's Chair. Then we continue straight ahead along the path. After about 400 meters, we pass the so-called Shepherd Caves. Here shepherds once sought shelter from the weather on the formerly bare slopes. On closer inspection, you can even see some inscriptions from various centuries in the soft sandstone rock, e.g. Cyrillic characters from the occupation period, inscriptions of the Kyrasserie Regiment, or those of the simple shepherds. Following the north slope path further straight ahead, you return again to the starting point in front of Villa Klus.
