The "Forest" climate nature trail leads 7.2 kilometers across the Upper Harz plateau near Buntenbock
After an introduction to the topic of climate at the "Alte Fuhrherrenstraße" hiking parking lot, you can expect a further eight stations to fold, turn and balance. You can also listen to an audio at each station, which can be accessed by scanning the QR code. Learn more about the past of the Harz forests, about wood as a raw material for building and furniture production and about trees as a CO2 sink. It also illustrates the positive characteristics of the forest as a recreational area for us humans and which animals live in the individual storeys.
A few more details about the nature of the trail: it is accessible and mostly suitable for baby carriages. It runs mainly on firm gravel and asphalt roads. The stations are particularly appealing to children of primary school age.
