Scenic hiking route around the picturesque Börnecke.

Fragrant pine forests, heather, and picturesque orchards alternate on this easy hike with beautiful views of the Harz foothills and the Brocken.

Not far from the starting point at the riding hall, you will find an extraordinary occurrence of blooming Adonis flowers in spring. Creative hikers will be rewarded above the riding arena with a surprise: here, somewhat hidden, is a mighty sandstone rock with a small cave, although there is no proper path leading to it.

From the ridge path over the Tönnigsberg, a hiking trail branches off to the Langenstein-Zwieberge memorial site, which is only a few hundred meters away.

On the way back to the village, you can enjoy a fantastic view of the Harz and the Brocken and spend a moment at the Börnecke sulfur spring.
