Short facts

  • Wernigerode OT Drei Annen…

Not far from the Brockenbahn railroad station in Drei Annen Hohne, the Dandelion Discovery Trail winds its way through woodland and across a Harz mountain meadow.

There is plenty for young and old to explore at the various hands-on stations along the 1.2-kilometre-long trail.

You can follow animal tracks, listen to the quietest sounds with the ears of the listening owl or explore the ground with bare feet on the barefoot trail. A 400-year-old oak tree with its dreamer's bench invites you to relax. The rotating puzzle tells you which animals need dying or dead wood to live. In the forest memory game, pairs of pictures are waiting to be found. If you really want to let off steam, you can race the forest animals. Depending on how long you spend at the various stations, you should allow around 1 - 2 hours.

After trying out the Archimedean screw and learning lots of interesting facts about the water cycle, the trail ends at the HohneHof Nature Experience Center. Here you can enjoy a snack, explore the explorer's corner and compete in the adventure playground.

The discovery trail can be visited almost all year round. Please note that the adventure stations are dismantled in the winter months.

We recommend a visit to the HohneHof nature adventure center with a large adventure playground, a catering area and numerous adventure offers.
