The HSB (Harz Narrow Gauge Railways) is the owner and operator of the longest continuous narrow gauge railway network in Germany with a track width of 1.000mm.

The HSB (Harz Narrow Gauge Railways) is the owner and operator of the longest continuous narrow gauge railway network in Germany with a track width of 1.000mm. The routes are Harzquer, Selketal and Brockenbahn, which give you a total length of 140.4 km. The fleet count 25 steam locomotives, 12 diesel locomotives, 10 rail cars and a variety of historic coaches. The whole collection was placed in 1972 under monument protection. In addition to regular passenger trains and the nostalgic steam engines, the HSB maintains a wide range of tourist services such as themed train rides, special events, souvenir sales, package deals or great adventures all about the steam engine.
