The Hahnenklee winter sports area in the Harz Mountains regularly attracts winter sports enthusiasts to the Bocksberg, which rises 726 meters above sea level and offers a unique winter experience against a spectacular backdrop.
The nostalgic cable car starts in the spa town of Hahnenklee. Its 4-seater gondolas take all visitors to the top of the mountain (skiers, snowboarders, tobogganists, pedestrians). However, the fastest way for skiers and snowboarders to reach the Bocksberg is by chairlift. Regardless of whether you take the cable car or the chairlift, everyone arrives at the top of the Bocksberg right next to each other. At the top of the mountain, just to the left, tobogganists, skiers and snowboarders enjoy their first runs together on the perfectly groomed Böckchen. The magic carpet transports all guests back up again quickly and relaxed. Afterwards, you can continue to let off steam on the beautiful, wide Böckchen or ski and snowboard down into the valley on the family run. Tobogganists can also go tobogganing on the Böckchen or on the winter toboggan run. At the valley station of the chairlift there is a practice slope and practice lift for first attempts at skiing.
There are numerous trails for cross-country skiers. A circuit leads around the Wurmberg and the Hasselkopf trail runs in three loops through the winter forests south of Braunlage. There are two longer trails of up to 12 km on the Sonnenberg. A cross-country skiing route also runs through the Hahnenklee spa gardens. This means that the village can be explored on a leisurely tour.
At the back of the cable car valley station (directly at the barrier parking lot) you will find the Seasons ski rental. There you will find skis, snowboards, sledges and the appropriate equipment. There is also a ski school with experienced ski and snowboard instructors right in the rental shop.

Guided by rails, you'll whizz down 1250 m on our Bocksbergbob, through bends, waves and even a huge double traffic circle. After the action-packed ride, you are automatically transported back up again.
Soon a second summer toboggan run awaits you on the Bocksberg summit - the Drachenblitz!
With what is probably the largest three-headed dragon in Europe and five traffic circles, it is an absolute eye-catcher! The 560 m long run leads through the exciting dragon grotto past the giant beast. Don't worry - Drachenblitz is absolutely child-friendly!
