Neudorf is a district of the town of Harzgerode and lies on a high plateau, about 440 m above sea level in the headwaters of the narrow river 'Wipper'.
On a network of walking trails over 50 km long, hikers and nature lovers will find a mixture of peace, relaxation and adventure surrounded by extensive forests, flowering mountain meadows and wide fields. The "Neudorf Historical Mining Trail" is particularly exciting. The trail leads along former mining sites and informs hikers about Neudorf's 600-year mining history.
In the lovingly furnished local history room, numerous everyday objects from the old days remind visitors of the town's past. Leisure fun for young and old is offered by the 'Active-Wellness-Oasis' with quad track, mini-golf course, sauna, outdoor area with barbecue facilities, and by the 'Birnbaumteich' holiday park situated on a bathing lake and by the Indian Ranch in Neudorf am Harz.
