Located on the Green Belt, you can admire the untouched flora and fauna along the former inner - German border, which existed from 1961 to 1989. For winter sport enthusiasts, Bad Sachsa has a lot to offer. The ice-skating rink in the Salztal Paradise is open all year, where you can do ice skating, ice dancing, ice hockey and curling. Mount Ravensberg (659 m) is a little alpine sports ski paradise. With a 4,000 meter long downhill route network, over a total of nine runs, three ski lifts and a snowboard park, with extra jumps and ramps, ski lovers will have great fun. You will also find several cross-country ski trails in and around Bad Sachsa, which makes the town a popular destination for winter athletes.
