Bad Suderode

near Quedlinburg in the Harz Mountains

Bad Suderode is idyllically situated in a valley on the northern side of the Harz Mountains. The stylish lodging houses with their filigree balconies lend the town a very special flair.

A powerful spring - One of the strongest calcium brine springs in Europe can be found in Bad Suderode, the 'Behringer Brunnen', with around 2,500 mg of calcium per litre. It is ideally suited for so-called mineral therapy as a basic treatment for osteoporosis. The spring is used for drinking cures, baths and inhalations.

The calcium brine spring, the historic spa gardens, a well-signposted network of hiking trails with access to the well-known 'Selketal-Stieg' trail and the mild, stimulating climate make up a successful health and recreation offer. In addition to the classic therapies, guests in Bad Suderode will also find a wide range of invigorating wellness and well-being arrangements.

The historic 'Selketalbahn' of the Harz Narrow-gauge Railway, which stops in Bad Suderode, offers wonderful and eventful excursions into the surrounding area.
