With the Harzer Wandernadel (Harz walking pin) you can see the entire spectrum of the Harz. Collect stamps at a total of 222 interesting places and viewpoints throughout the Harz Mountains and add them to your hiking pass. The little green boxes are easy to recognise for hikers. Following the guide to the Harzer Wandernadel will take you to famous tourist attractions like mount Brocken, the Rosstrappe in Thale or the World Heritage Site Rammelsberg in Goslar as well as less little-known jewels which are nevertheless worthwhile visiting. The "Harzer Wandernadel" suggests walking routes, which you select depending on your condition and your personal preferences. Completed hikes can be documented in the hiking pass with a stamp of the visited viewpoint/attraction. As a reward you will receive attractive hiking badges / pins, for example, when 11 destinations have been completed or better 11 stamps have been collected, children up to the age of 11 will be crowned Royal Hiking Prince or Royal Hiking Princess.

The Harzgerode Castle

The Harzgerode castle was first mentioned in 1384 and was structurally extended in the 16th century.
