  • Kirche in Stiege

The wooden church Albrechtshaus, built in the style of a Nordic Stave Church, apart from the replaced tiles on the roof, is completely original.

As a hub of the Selketal Railway, a part operated steam locomotives of the historical Harz Narrow Gauge Railway, Stiege has a unique and very special attraction; the smallest turning circle of a public railway system in Europe.

Hikers and nature lovers appreciate the health resort because of its stunning nature, a 120km long network of hiking trails, barbecue area and especially because of the entry into the Selketal-Stieg, a 72km hiking trail between Stiege and the UNESCO World Heritage Town of Quedlinburg. Two beautiful lakes in the village are ideal for swimming, boating and fishing.

Get to know the wonderful winter world of the Harz, Stiege offers well maintained cross- country trails, a natural ice rink lake and various sledging slopes.
