Buntenbock

Small village in the Upper Harz region

The small village of Buntenbock is a district of the town of Clausthal-Zellerfeld. It is situated in the Upper Harz region away from noisy streets and surrounded by flowering meadows, green forests and several clear mountain lakes.

Hikers, nature lovers and sports enthusiasts will find pure relaxation in an idyllic setting. The location on the popular long distance trail 'Harzer-Hexen-Stieg' (Harz Witches' Trail) and the Harzer Foersterstieg, with access to the mountain-bike trails of the Volksbank Arena Harz, make it an ideal holiday destination. Also the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Upper Harz Water Management System, with its numerous fishing and swimming opportunities, also adds to Buntenbock's appeal.

In winter, the small town welcomes its guests with various, partially illuminated cross-country trails, a cross-country skiing school, a youth ski jump and toboggan slope. Learn more about winter sports in Buntenbock here.
